One Trusted Nursery Family Across Exeter & Exmouth
Devon Nurseries Ltd has been proudly registered with Ofsted since September 2022, joining together SPL Education Nurseries and Exeter Nurseries as one organisation. Today, our family of nurseries in Exeter and Exmouth includes ABC, Acorns, Adventurers, Discovery and Tic Tocs, each with its own unique character, but all sharing the same high standards of care and education.

Across all of our nurseries in Devon, we are united by one simple goal: to give every child the very best start in life. We provide high-quality early education and care in safe, happy and stimulating environments where children feel valued, confident and inspired to explore.
ABC Nursery
With a warm, home away from home feel, ABC was acquired in April 2007. The nursery is based in Exmouth, on Exeter Road. The Devon Nurseries Finance Office is situated on the first floor.
Acorns Nursery
Acorns prides itself on its cosy, friendly and homely atmosphere. Situated on Alphington Road, Exeter, it was brought into the group in 1996.
Adventurers Nursery
A nursery full of exploration, Adventurers opened in January 2025 and follows the principles of The Curiosity ApproachⓇ. It’s located on Sylvan Road, Exeter, close to the University. The Devon Nurseries Management Office is located on the top floor of Adventurers.
Discovery Nursery
Discovery can be found on Heavitree Road, Exeter, and opened in the summer of 2013. Parents love its outdoorsy nature and creativity.
Tic Tocs Nursery
Tic Tocs opened in the Summer of 1996, formally managed by Tocs Ltd. The nursery is based on Haldon Road, between Exeter City Centre and St David’s Exeter train station. This small but mighty nursery showcases the vibrancy of Exeter’s multicultural community.
